What does Bottega Mean?
bot•te•ga is defined as the workshop of a major artist in which other artists participate in the execution of projects. Our name describes the essence of our approach to education. Our children enjoy hands-on experiences through which they discover their world and develop to their fullest individual potential.
What is Bottega’s Philosophy of Education?
Bottega’s philosophy of education is based on the theories of Social Constructivism. Inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, our curriculum emerges from the children’s inner interest and the teachers’ invitation to investigate their ideas and theories stimulating cognitive processes and developing skills. We recognize that all children are capable, curious, and filled with wonder as they learn about their world.
Bottega is a progressive preschool that believes that learning is an active process where children construct knowledge as they encounter the environment, and interact with their peers, teachers, and parents.
